Personality
An all-around quiet individual with a tinge of fire, Figuine spends most of his spare time taking in the sights around Ishgard or enjoying peace in the privacy of his room.Though on the hunt, the Elezen's personality flips entirely. He becomes cocky, full of himself. Backstory
Born Figuine Théo Amodeous Debroux to Timothé Debroux and Amelié Cardon in the city-state of Ishgard. During his younger years, Figuine spent most of his days reading and studying alongside a close childhood friend, Corsanna Desuex. Though when the time came, Figuine heeded the call.Idolizing his father, who at the time was a Dragoon- helping aid in the war against Dragons. Though, with his father falling during battle, Figuine sought to continue on his father's legacy through a different means. Leaving his mother in Ishgard, he ventured to Ul'dah where he sought to start his career in writing, seeking to inform the public of the horrors that war brought amongst his family.It was quite apparent his dreams were to be shattered as his first finished book was stolen while the Elezen slept and his years of hard work had simply just vanished. It was then where he decided to join up with the Gladiator's Guild, trying a new approach at redeeming his fallen father.Time quickly passed and before Figuine knew it, he was supporting Ishgard once more- though this time it was under a mercenary banner and a set of rusted plate armor.Figuine would continue his deployment in Coerthas until he'd be injured in a fierce battle that took most of his platoons life and nearly took his own as well. Luckily, Figuine was taken into care by a Miqo'te conjurer where he was nursed back to health and returned to Ul'dah to recover.After a swift recovery- the newfound friendship between the Miqo'te, Hia Carver, her friend Seto'ir, and the Elezen himself; The Trio would go on to form the Misfit Company, a band of Sellswords tasked with not only generating coin, but aiding those in need on a different front, Humanitarian needs.Though after a year into service, Figuine was called home by distant relatives for a funeral; His mother. Upon hearing the news, he merely dropped the title of 'Captain' and left the Misfits to Hia Carver.The Aftermath of his mother's death scarred the Elezen. It seemed he were most likely never going to recover, though opportunity struck. A deal with the devil of sorts as a small Xaelan Broker offered everything in return for very little- a shoddy deal that turned for the worst of the Elezen.Tainted by the very existence of the void, Figuine now walks to continent searching for a cure for the demon embedded in his head- constantly terrorizing him with a constant battle between a hostile internal takeover or conquering whatever lies inside.Desperate to find answers-- the Elezen links up once again with his former partner, Casius Malégant; An Ishgardian Hunter who would not only teach Figuine the art of The Hunt, but try and work on solving his own internal struggle with the voidkin 'Destaati'Fighting a losing battle has always been apart of Figuine's way of life, possessing an indomitable Elezen spirit was simply one of his strong suits but it's seemingly wavering. The war against the voidkin inside of him is an everlasting uphill battle and the bell between life and death has already begun tolling.
Appearance
Standing tall at 6 fulm 9 elms, Figuine sports a tall, toned build due to his vigorous training throughout the years and is often battered, bruised, and scratched from prior jobs, roles, and scraps in numerous taverns.Silver eyes dawn upon the Elezen, very similar to those of the Malegant house, however this is a mere coincidence.Following the inner battle between himself and what the void has to offer- Figuine has developed a bone-like scarring down most of his face, causing him to mask his left eye.This corruption flows throughout the Elezen's veins, showing only briefly in his pupils and fully throughout his left arm (when not covered). It also seems to respond VERY well when touching his scythe..?
